Thursday, November 20, 2008I Didn't Exspect That
Today when I was outside I got hit in the fase. And it hurt. It was a hard ball. -Miguel's journal
Today we got a new rule No Throwing Snow. Because people in our class and in different classes are throwing snow. It was cool. And yesterday ya know I'm in cheerleading and guess what. We all got prizes and they were called free tickets to the Bremen movie theater! It's name is Old Dan. I like that name. When someone duzent get a partner they get Old Dan. He's a cooel dog. In are classroom we have a pencel sharpener on the wall. It's a crummy sharpener. When you try to sharpen it it sharpens one side but not the uther. I don't yous it. Hardley enybudy youses it. Most people have there own pensel sharpener. I don't have one. Yesterday we went on a field trip. It was called Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center. We rode on a bus to get there. Itd didn't rain until the end of the field trip. We played a bunch of fun games too. We took a hike in the woods. We learned about nature and hibernation. We got to pet a snake. I petted the snake on the top and the bottom. It was my birthday too. We ate lunch of course. Lunch was really really yummy. We ate lunch at twelve o'clock. We got to pick a leaf but we could not keep the leaves. It was a super duper really really really good field trip. It was for all the second graders. -Evan's journal

On Saturday I had a basketball game. I made three baskets in basketball. One wasa side shot the other two were not side shots. I played for one hour in my game. I versed the green team. It is for third and fourth graders. They asked me to play in the third and fourth grade leage. And I said, "yes" that I wanted to play in the league. My games all are on Saturday and practices are on Thursdays. The league is really hard work. I was white and the next game I will be green. I like basketball. Basketball is cool and awsome and it can be really really superduper hard work too. But I can tell you this it is really fun. -Evan's journal
Last night I stayed at CJ's house and we stade up all night. We did play games. We also played the playstashon and ate popcorn and woched movies. Today was a great day at school. Yesterday was election day. Barack Obama won for president. He had more points than John McCain. Barack Obama is our next President. Obama made a speech. so did John McCain. Yesterday was a happy day. -Yizel's journal
Yesterday was Election Day. I voted for Barack Obama to be president. He won. John McCain made a speech in Arizona. He lost. But he was a good sport about it. Friday, October 17, 2008Race for Education
Today we had the Race for Education. I had 15 laps and it WAS HOT! Bryce got 18 laps. Some pepel got 10 laps that would not be good! We ran for 45 minutes. That is a long time. And the laps were around the football feld. I ran 3 miles. That is good. And that is a long time. Mr. Gall ran 20 laps. that is more than everybody that ran in race. -Cole's journal
Today we did the race for education. I did 12 miles. And then my mom showed up with a superise. MY BROTHER WAS RACEING!!!!!! I fell down on the grass. Today I played Kick the Ball Over the Fens with a lot of pepole. I kicked the ball then a few hours lader I was hot so I played a diferunt game. I played monkey in the middol with 3 pepole. Two pepole were in the middol than I threw the ball then somebody quit. So then we played throw the ball up in the air. The rules are no pooshing, no shuving and no kicking the ball out of pepoles hands. You had to keep the ball to get a point. I threw the ball and I got a point. Justin is my best friend. He goes to the same bus. He plays kickball sometimes. If he kickes the ball good we call it the moser kick and most of the time he playes kick the ball over the fence. Then Nathan was up and I was behind Nathan. Then he kicked the ball then I was up. I was going to kick the ball but a bee stung me. Today at last recess I played Kick the Ball Over the Fence. Mr. Gall said, "I think that you just did the most amazing play of the year. Because I had a ball in my hand and me and Mr. Gall were chasing after a diffrent ball and he almost got the other ball and I threw my ball I had in my hand and I hit the ball we were chasing so then I got both of the balls and he said "Wow I think that was the most amazing play I have seen this whole intyre year. I've had a great time reading chapter books to the class this year and by all accounts the students have enjoyed listening to them. Today the students were given a list of the chapter books I have read so far this school year and ranked their top 5 favorites. The top ranked book is no surprise. I've done rankings like this at the end of many school years and Where the Red Fern Grows ALWAYS wins BIG. The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane was a new one for me this year and the class loved it. I thought it might give Red Fern a run for it's money, but it wasn't even close. -Mr. Gall

Tomorrow we earned a popcorn party. I am either going to bring in a Gatorade or a juoce box. We earned it for art. I am not bringing in pop because I do not like pop. You can't even name a pop I like. I only like water, juice, and milk. I don't like ketchup either. People say that I'm weaird but I don't care one bit. My sister loves pop! But my mom and dad only let her drink it every few weeks cause then she gets hiper and trust me it's not good. You got to get 10 stickers to earn a popcorn party. We did. -Mackenzie's journal
Yesterday was my brithday. I had a cake with a black lab on my cake. A lab is a kind of dog. The dog was cute and the cake was so so delishes. There is like barely any left. When I get home I'm going to eat my cake and when my mom gets home I'll get a present. I might get something in the mail. I got a speshle gift on Webkinz. I also got two new Webkinz. Today was Nicole's birthday. Me and Mackenzie are staying after school. Like I said yesterday we're going to stay at a hotel and swim. I made Nicole a card.
